These are pictures from an early Christmas party that we went to with Susan's family. It was really cute to see all of the kids lined up waiting for presents to be passed out. Sofía really got to share in on the fun as well. Nobody ever wanted to put her down (Susan). There were times we didn't see her for about a half an hour.

Sofia's blessing day

sofia today
Sofía actually just had her first doctor's appointment this last Saturday. She's now 20 in. long and weighs 6 lbs 13 oz. Our pediatrician was surprised at how much weight she has gained in the last two weeks. According to him, she's a healthy little girl. Jeff and I are relieved to know we must be doing something right so far.
She had to have blood taken out from her heel. Sofía's good father held her as she went through this ordeal. She was a trooper. She cried a little bit, but then her daddy was able to settle her right down.

sofia 2 weeks old
We're starting to take advantage of our camera and recorder. Sofía's definitely been a blessing in our lives already. Things are going well. The first few days we were home she was crying all night. We thought it was going to be a long few months. Miraculously, the night before Jeff had to return to work Sofía began to settle down and sleeps pretty well. I still have to get up a lot during the night, but compared to the first few days, five hours of sleep is heaven. One thing we've learned is that Sofía loves her arms and legs. She'll move them and stretch them out anytime she can. She's also very alert to the world around her. She loves to stare out into the open. Who knows what she's thinking. Anyways, here are some more pictures. Hope you like them.

"The child must know that she is a miracle, that since the beginning of the world there hasn't been, and until the end of the world there will not be, another child like her..."
